Emanuel School

Within the confines of an existing courtyard at the school, a set of new steel walkways with a fully glazed facade has been built to connect two parts of the school.

The materials offer a contemporary counterpoint to the traditional stonework and masonry of the Victorian building, including the galvanized and gloss painted steel support structure. Three vertical strips of blue glass make reference to the existing masonry gables and the clear glazing allows the beautiful brick facade to be seen through the new structure from the courtyard below.
