Galvanizing Delight

Storytelling Seat and Garden

The Storytelling Seat and Garden was commissioned by North Kildare Educate Together National School (NKETNS) under the “Percent for Art” scheme.

The concept was to encourage children to spend more time outdoors. The artists Liam Lavery and Eithne Ring (Laverin) wanted to create a simple outdoor classroom/space and garden that would encourage storytelling and imagination.

The World Storytelling event is celebrated every year on the March equinox and Niall De Burca (Irish Storyteller) visits the school a few times a year to perform for the children.
